Hi Margaret, I’ll ask around and see if I can find out. I’ll let you know if I do. 🙂 Kelli

Margaret, Here is what I found out: Get some cotton balls and place a few drops of peppermint, eucalyptus, or spearmint oil on some cotton balls and position them where you suspect they are. Mice may appear behind appliances such as a fridge, washer, or dryer. Also place them in areas of a attic or garage. Look for places where mice may be entering the house and place cotton balls there as well. This can deter mice but further measures may be required if the infestation is serious. – See more at: http://www.essentialoilspedia.com/pest-control/#sthash.2UhRgXwC.dpuf
For squirrels:
In a spray bottle, mix one part vinegar to two parts water, a drop of dish soap, and add the essential oils to it. Squirrel-repelling oils are garlic, red pepper, lemongrass, thyme, cinnamon and clove.
Sounds like these are all deterrents, but won’t kill them
Hope that helps!

Mice hate peppermint… Put peppermint oil on cotton ball and leave near where they might come in. Or put with water and spray. Safe for kids and pets.
I made a concoction that kept cats from peeing in my bushes… Probably work for squirrles too. Put water and a couple drops of dish soap (to help it stick) in spray bottle… Add cayenne pepper, shake and spray. Or sometimes I just put the cayenne pper and some pepper flakes in dirt around and left it at that. If it rains you will have to re-apply, of course. Hope it helps.
