Easy Crockpot Turkey Chili Recipe
Well, it’s official, winter is here…and for most of us, it brought some pretty chilly temps. When the wind is howling outside and the thermostat is hovering at freezing (or below!), one of the best ways to warm up is with a steaming bowl of chili. Unfortunately, most of us don’t have time to prepare this cozy comfort food…you know, with work, running errands, raising kids, etc. Luckily, thanks to this easy crockpot turkey chili recipe, you can do it all. Supermoms (and dads) unite!
This easy crockpot turkey chili recipe has it all. It’s easy (duh), quick, healthy, and delicious. All you have to do to have yummy chili by dinner time is dice up an onion and two peppers, brown the meat, and throw all the ingredients in a slow cooker. Seriously, that’s it; it’ll take less than 20 minutes.
As mentioned above, this easy recipe is also a healthy dinner option. The turkey and Greek yogurt topping (in place of sour cream) keep the calories low. Plus, it’s rich in vegetables like onions, peppers, tomatoes (those are technically a fruit), and corn. Trust me, this is probably the most vegetables you’ll get your child to eat all year!

how many servings does this make?
I made 7 bowls of two cups each and there was around 1.5 cups leftover (: Smells and looks delicious (haven’t tried it yet)
So glad, Lisbeth! π
This is very tasty, a tad on the sweet side but very good. Filled my crock pot which means plenty of left overs to freeze, since it’s just me eating it in my house.
I really liked this recipe! So much that I featured it on my blog. Thank you!
Thanks, Stefanie! π
Do you think this would be good with grounded pork?
Do you drain the beans or corn?
I drained everything! The only saucy thing I used was the tomato sauce. I used pinto beans and black beans, rinse the black beans. I also used petite diced tomatoes and drained them too!
Thanks, Amanda! π Kelli
Do you drain the corn and beans??
Did she get back to you about draining the Canned foods? I’m making this tonight and was curious to know.
Do you drain the beans and corn? Or do you add water or broth?
I drained them! Plenty of juice from the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Made this chili twice already making for a third time today!
Thanks for sharing, Elizabeth! I’m glad you like it! π Kelli
Is this good from the freezer? If so, would you recommend cooking it before freezing it? Thanks!
I think freezing it is a good idea if you cook a bigger amount.
I agree, Maria. Thanks for sharing! π Kelli
What size crockpot do you use?
This is very good, a little sweet. My husbandβs only request is to add another can of kidney beans in the future. I think that will make it even better.
Hi Teri, Thanks for sharing! Thanks! π Kelli
Do you have to cook it the full 4 hours?
