If you’re excited for sweater weather not because you love fall but because you’re glad to finally be able to cover up your dry, rough skin, I’ve got just the recipe for you: The best homemade body scrub ever! There’s a lot of reasons that I refer to this natural homemade body scrub as “the best homemade body scrub,” but the number one reason is it’s effective. It’s full of good for your skin ingredients including coconut oil, lavender essential oil, and rosewater.

As you probably know from some of my other homemade bath and beauty products (like these coconut oil sugar scrub bars), coconut oil is a natural moisturizer. The sugar in this homemade sugar body scrub exfoliates, removing dead skin and other debris that can make your skin appear rough and even cause breakouts. Once the sugar has done its job the coconut oil adds moisture. The lavender essential oil in this natural homemade body scrub can help with inflammation, redness, and itchiness. The rosewater can also help with skin issues including eczema and acne.

INGREDIENTS
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup coconut oil
3 T. rosewater
Lavender essential oil
Pink mica powder
Gold mica powder

DIRECTIONS

1. Add sugar, coconut oil, rosewater, and lavender essential oil to a bowl and stir to combine.

2. Divide mixture into two bowls.

3. Add gold mica powder to one bowl and pink mica powder to the other until desired shade is achieved.

4. Layer gold and pink scrub into a container with a tight fitting lid.

TO USE

1. Gently rub this homemade sugar body scrub over damp skin in a circular motion.

2. Rise away.

3. Pat skin dry
