Champagne JELL-O Shots Recipe
If you have little ones, you know how easy it can be to get swept up in their world. You find yourself using baby talk all the time… even around adults. You know more about what’s happening on PAW Patrol than Orange is the New Black or Game of Thrones. You know all the words to The Wheels on the Bus by heart but can’t name one top 40 song. That’s why, as great as kids are, every now and then you just need to take a time out and socialize with people your own age. Maybe an adults-only New Years Eve party simply isn’t in the cards but you can give any holiday get-together a more adult atmosphere by whipping up some grown-ups only goodies like this Champagne jello shots recipe!
This Champagne jello shots recipe is sure to be the hit of any holiday party. It’s unique, fun, tasty, and (obviously) geared towards grown-ups. Traditionally, jello shots are made with vodka or rum but this Champagne jello shots recipe is a creative (and yummy) twist that you won’t regret trying! 🙂
In addition to the taste, I like this Champagne jello shots recipe because it’s easy to make. If you can make regular jello you can make this recipe. Plus, making it look festive is a breeze. Just use appropriately colored gelatin (ex. red and green for Christmas) and add sprinkles. On top of that, this champagne jello shots recipe is fast in terms of hands-on time. You can get this Champagne jello shots recipe in the fridge in about 15 minutes and then go about your day.
Tip: If kids are going to be in attendance when you serve up this tasty Champagne jello shots recipe, consider making some extra jello (plain) and decorating it with sprinkles so the kiddos don’t feel left out.
Some other grown-ups only goodies to consider for your party menu are rummy bears (alcoholic) and jalapeño poppers (spicy).
INGREDIENTS
Bottle of Champagne
2-liter of cream soda
4 envelopes of Knox gelatin
2 cups of water
8 x 8″ baking dish or silicone ice cube molds.
Non-stick cooking spray
Sugar sprinkles
Notes: I tried using a mold and a 8 x 8″ pan for this Champagne jello shots recipe. In my opinion, the pan worked the best.
Many jello shot recipes recommend chilling the alcohol before using it. While I haven’t tried chilling the Champagne for this Champagne jello shots recipe, I don’t think doing so would be harmful in any way.
DIRECTIONS
1. Spray baking dish or silicone molds with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
2. In a large microwave-safe bowl combine 2 cups of water and four envelopes of gelatin.
3. Microwave for three to four minutes or until the gelatin has dissolved.
4. Mix in 1.5 cups of cream soda and 2 3/4 cups of Champagne.
5. Pour into baking dish or molds and refrigerate for 4 to 5 hours.
6. Slice (if needed) and top with sprinkles.
7. Enjoy!
