Homemade tooth whitener is effective, inexpensive, easy to make, and easy to use. All you need to make this particular homemade tooth whitener is 4 ingredients which makes it both simple to put together and reassuring… no hard to pronounce, strange ingredients here!
When it actually comes time to make this homemade tooth whitener, you simply mix 3 ingredients together. No oven, stove top, microwave, or other tools needed. It’ll take you all of 2 minutes to whip up a batch.
One of the major inconveniences of many whiteners is the time commitment involved. However, with this homemade tooth whitener, you simply brush your teeth for approximately 2 minutes and voilà! a sparkling smile.

INGREDIENTS
½ cup baking soda
2 tsp. coconut oil
Peppermint essential oil
4 oz. mason jar
Hydrogen peroxide
DIRECTIONS
1. Combine baking soda, coconut oil, and peppermint essential oil in 4 oz. mason jar.
TO USE
1. When you are ready to brush, combine 1 tsp. of this mixture with 1 tsp. peroxide in a small dish.
2. Apply to toothbrush and brush for at least 2 minutes.
3. Rinse.
NOTE: Do not use more than 3 times a week.

You should watch out about peroxide. While good for whitening teeth, it also is bad on fillings. It can destroy the fillings you have and break those teeth apart.
But another good whitener, surprisingly, is crushed strawberries and unless you’re allergic to strawberries, it doesn’t have any problems.
And the recipe you have, if you leave out the peroxide, it does great.

No the peroxide is not put in the jar it is used when you brush your teeth mix it with the jar ingredients in separate bowl! She says this in the directions
