Where Do You Get the Best Baby Clothes?
It’s an age old question isn’t it? Right up there with “why are we here”? Okay, maybe it isn’t quite that profound but figuring out where to get the best baby clothes is pretty important (and challenging). Recently, one of my friends was querying everyone in our social circle as to the best place to snag baby clothes and baby shoes without breaking the bank.
I think my answer may have surprised her….
My favorite source for baby clothes is Carter’s.Surprised?
If you’ve spent any time on Freebie Finding Mom, you probably expected me to say something like “yard sales” or “thrift shops” and while I’m not knocking those options, I have to say Carter’s is without a doubt my go to baby store.
In fact, I bought most of my son’s baby clothes at Carter’s including baby shoes and baby bedding. I’m fortunate to have a Carter’s store within walking distance of my house, so I would put my son in my Baby Bjorn carrier and we’d take an afternoon stroll and do a little shopping. (Between you and me, this happened pretty frequently since babies grow so darn fast… and because I love Carter’s baby clothes so much!)
Note: You can find your local Carter’s here.
There are several reasons I love the baby boy clothes at Carter’s so much including:
Durable
If you’ve spent any time around babies, you know they’re messy. Seriously, a baby doubles the amount of laundry you have to do. Since they have to stand up to so much wear and tear and washing, it’s important that baby clothes be durable. The baby boy clothes and baby girl clothes at Carter’s are perfect for the rough and tumble lifestyle of a little one. An outfit from Carter’s can go through the wash over and over and still come out looking just as good as when you bought it. 🙂
While I pride myself on being frugal, durability can’t be overlooked when picking baby clothes. If you go on price alone you’re liable to be buying new baby clothes on a daily basis.
Affordable
That’s not to say that Carter’s baby clothes are unaffordable. The prices at Carter’s are quite reasonable. Bonus: You can score even better deals by taking advantage of their coupons. The best ways to find Carter’s coupons is to:
- Join their email list.
- Cruise sites like RetailMeNot.
- Frequently check their website.
Another thing that makes baby clothes at Carter’s affordable is their rewards program, Rewards Moments. It’s a pretty simple program which is great because as a busy mom I don’t have time to figure out complicated loyalty programs. You earn 1 point for every $1 you spend. Once you accumulate 75 points you get a $10 off coupon which can be used online or in-store.
Cute
I don’t really consider myself a fashionista or anything but I, like any parent, want my kiddo to look cute. Carter’s is full of adorable baby clothes, baby shoes, baby blankets, and much more. I know I’ll always find something I just have to have at Carter’s.
Easy
As mentioned above, I don’t exactly consider myself a fashionista. I mean, I can put an outfit together that doesn’t make me look like I got dressed in the dark, but I don’t really have time to stay abreast of the latest fashion trends. At Carter’s, my lack of fashion know-how is no problem. They put sets together and have outfits made to mix and match which is awesome. Thanks to Carter’s, my son always looks photo ready without me spending hours and hours trying to pick an outfit out!
Nana Approved
Last but not least, Carter’s baby clothes are Nana approved. Yep, my mother LOVES Carter’s and frequently buys birthday and Christmas gifts for my son there.
All of these reasons are why I continue to shop at Carter’s to this day even though my son is no longer a baby. (Ugh, he’s growing up so fast!)
