Homemade turmeric face masks are about to be your skin’s new BFF! Introduce yourself to this powerful herb with this 4 ingredient face mask recipe.
What if I told you I knew of a product that could help with acne, eczema, psoriasis, dry skin, and many more skin concerns? Oh, and what if I told you that you could take advantage of this product at home for just a few dollars? Does it sound too good to be true? Well, it’s not! This “magical” product is turmeric face masks.
Are you familiar with the herb turmeric? If you’re a fan of Indian food, the answer is probably “yes” as turmeric is one of the main ingredients in curry. However, this herb is good for so much more than creating delicious food. In fact, turmeric face masks (like the one I’m about to share with you!) can work wonders for your skin.
What makes turmeric so great? Well, according to Dr. Axe, “Turmeric has shown significant anti-inflammatory activity because of its volatile oil and its yellow or orange pigment, which is called curcumin. Curcumin, a phytonutrient, contains anti-inflammatory abilities that have been shown to be comparable to many drugs on the market today, but unlike drugs, curcumin produces no toxicity.”
While turmeric certainly is a wonder ingredient, it isn’t the only powerhouse in this homemade turmeric face mask recipe. Nope, this is a coconut oil, turmeric, and honey face mask. You’ll get the benefits of all 3 skin nourishing ingredients.
This homemade turmeric face mask recipe certainly isn’t the first DIY face mask I’ve shared that contains coconut oil and honey (in fact, here’s a face mask with Matcha and honey); however, in case you’ve forgotten:
Coconut oil – Is a natural moisturizer that contains vitamin E which helps prevent signs of premature aging (ex. wrinkles). In addition, according to Teen Vogue, “Coconut oil can mingle and bind with all that excess sebum and lipid-soluble (meaning able to be dislodged and lifted with oil) surface dirt, drawing out impurities from your pores as it nourishes your skin with vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids, and lauric acid.” In other words, this turmeric face mask for acne is aided by the addition of coconut oil! 🙂
Side note: If you really struggle with acne, pair this turmeric face mask with this grapefruit acne scrub and/or this aloe and mint foaming face wash.
Honey – Contains antiseptic properties that prevent the growth of micro-organisms (such as bacteria). It is also a natural humectant meaning it will help keep your skin hydrated.
The only other ingredient in this homemade turmeric face mask recipe? Powdered milk. Yep, that’s right, this turmeric face mask for acne, dark circles, dry skin, and much more only has 4 ingredients!
If you’re looking to pamper yourself, you can’t go wrong with turmeric face masks! Try this simple homemade turmeric face mask recipe to give this powerful herb a try.

Bonus: Here are 5 more of my favorite homemade face masks!
INGREDIENTS
1 ½ teaspoons turmeric powder (3 capsules)
1 Tablespoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon raw honey
1 teaspoon powdered milk
DIRECTIONS
1. Add all ingredients to a small bowl and stir to combine.
2. Allow this turmeric and honey face mask to sit for a few minutes until the powdered milk dissolves.
3. Stir again.
TO USE
Note: Before using this homemade turmeric face mask, I highly recommend testing it on a small area of your skin first. This is to ensure you don’t experience any kind of allergic reaction or skin irritation.
1. Using your fingers or a soft brush, apply the turmeric face mask for acne to your face, brushing upwards.
Tip: Wear an old shirt or place a junk towel over your chest as the turmeric may stain clothing.
2. Allow the mask to sit for about 20 minutes.
3. Rinse clean with warm water.
4. Pat skin dry.
5. For extra moisture, apply your favorite moisturizer or (better yet) this homemade face moisturizer.
You can use turmeric face masks (at least this one!) twice a week.
