WINTER IS COMING!
(If you didn’t get that, it’s a Game of Thrones reference… because I’m hip like that. 😉 )
Okay, for most of us, winter (and all it’s nasty weather) is already here. Probably my least favorite part of winter is keeping the little man cooped up inside. Sure, he’d love to get outside and do some sledding; unfortunately, so far, our winter is heavy on the cold and lite on the snow. So, what’s a rambunctious kid and a stressed out mom to do? Check out Home Depot workshops for kids!
Kids workshops at Home Depot happen the first Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at all Home Depot stores. Each month your kiddos will have the opportunity to tackle a different DIY project. Oh, and did I mention that the Home Depot workshops for kids are FREE?
You can go here to check the Home Depot kids workshop schedule. Just click “change store” on the right-hand side and enter your zip code.
While all of the kids workshop Home Depot classes are a blast, there’s a really special one coming up soon that you won’t want to miss: Build a Windmill Planter. This special FREE kids workshop at Home Depot takes place May 5th from 9 a.m. to noon.
During this Home Depot workshop for kids, your little one (the class is aimed at kids ages 5 through 12) will get to build a windmill planter to and discuss the benefits of non-polluting sustainable energy. Once the windmill planter is build he or she can decorate it with paint and stickers too! Yes, I said paint. Luckily, this is a supervised environment and it’s not your carpets at risk! 😉
At the end of this kids workshop at Home Depot your child will leave with his or her windmill planter, a certificate of achievement, workshop apron, and a commemorative pin! Not to mention the confidence and new skills he or she will have acquired.
You can register for this kids workshop Home Depot class here.
