Whenever I ask my family what they’d like for dinner I’m met with a chorus of “I don’t know” and “I don’t care” (well, that’s not entirely true, my little one is more than happy to request chicken nuggets every single night of the week). Unfortunately, even though I’ve looked high and low, I haven’t been able to find “I don’t know” or “I don’t care” at any grocery store in town. Weird right? 🙂 One thing that I’ve found helps me to get meals in order in a timely fashion is to use a weekly menu planner printable.
At the beginning of each week I grab a blank weekly menu planner printable and come up with a list of dinners for the week. This helps me to get organized and gives others a chance to object to a certain meal. This worked so well with dinner, I thought “What about breakfast and lunch?” With a few clicks of the mouse I whipped up this new free weekly menu planner printable that is good for all three meals each day.
In addition to helping me get organized, this weekly menu planner printable helps me to eat healthy and save money. When I don’t plan meals ahead of time I find that I am more likely to opt for a restaurant, hit the drive through, or pop a frozen meal or pizza in the oven. None of which are particularly healthy options.
As I mentioned above, the weekly menu planner printable also helps me to save money. When I use it I am less likely to spend money on restaurants and less likely to buy items at the grocery store that I don’t need. For example, I used to see an awesome recipe on Pinterest that I couldn’t wait to try, buy the ingredients, and then forget what I was going to use them for meaning items that must be used quickly (such as produce) would go to waste. Now, before I even make a grocery list or start hunting for coupons, I make sure my weekly menu planner printable is completely finalized.
Try out this free weekly menu planner printable and trust me, you’ll be amazed at how much time and money it can save you.
