Free Printable Canning Jar Labels
One of the best parts of summer (at least where I live) is the widespread availability of fresh, homegrown produce. Honestly, you know it’s summer when you smell a ripe tomato grown naturally under the sun (rather in some hothouse). With summer slowly slipping away so is all of that locally grown nutritious and delicious produce. However, it doesn’t have to. A great way to not only enjoy produce year round but save money is by canning. Whether you have your own little garden or catch a great deal at your local grocery store, canning is a frugal way to have produce in the home year round. However, before you get carried away with canning, be sure to have canning jar labels on hand so you don’t get your jars mixed up.
When you’re canning, you want to make sure you know exactly what is in the jar and when it was canned to avoid both humorous mixups (opening the wrong type of produce) and dangerous accidents (like eating expired produce) hence the need for free printable canning jar labels.
These free printable canning jar labels offer space to write out what you are canning (ex. peaches) as well as the date you canned the produce on. Note: Don’t forget the year!
To use, just print out a sheet of these free printable canning jar labels, write out what your canning and the date, and then tape the labels onto your jars. Yep, it’s as easy as that.
Not only are these free printable canning jar labels super simple to use but they add a cute touch to the end product.
