Oh, sorry, I got a little caught up there. Where was I? Oh, right, Beauty and the Beast is back!
Maybe I should have started with “once upon a time?”
Anyway, on March 17, 2017, Disney is bringing everyone’s favorite fairy tale back to the silver screen. Only, this time, it’s not an animated movie but a live action film starring Emma Watson (Hermione Granger anyone?), Dan Stevens, and Luke Evans.
Check out the official trailer now:
Not to date myself too much, but I can totally remember singing along to the original Beauty and the Beast. In fact, I was a lot like Belle growing up. I always had my nose in a book or was indulging in other “nerdy” activities. While neither the most popular guy in school or a prince (cursed or otherwise) ever fell in love with me, like Belle, I learned it’s okay to be different and follow your own path.
As a kid, my favorite parts of the movie had to be the songs (especially the song “Gaston” because he just seemed so silly). As an adult, my favorite part is imagining that the inanimate objects in my own home will come alive and help out with the cleaning and cooking! 🙂
I’m pretty excited about the Disney remake of Beauty and the Beast because I feel like it’ll be a film both me and my little guy can enjoy. He’ll experience the fairy tale for the first time, and I’ll get to reminisce about my younger years. I have visions of us both driving the hubby nuts singing boisterous renditions of “Be Our Guest!” 😉
In fact, I’m thinking about making a whole special event out of it, maybe inviting some of the kiddo’s friends and moms to join us… which leads me to something awesome Evite is doing.
In honor of the remake, Evite has created an exclusive Beauty and the Beast – “Be Our Guest” custom invitation category.
