Savings Chart Update Week 50: Purchased Two Pairs of Jeans with Earned Referral Credit on ThredUp.com = $39.96 in Savings
Do you have a favorite brand of jeans? I really don’t, but since we are heading into fall and I could use a new pair (or two) I thought I’d do a little shopping. The first place I often go is ThredUp.com. If you are not familiar with thredUP it is an online consignment store for women and children (they also carry some new items with the tags still on them). I have ordered from them numerous times for both myself and my son and have been very pleased with everything I have received.
Well, since I still had earned referral credits to use I decided to see if I could find a couple of pairs of jeans on ThredUp.com and no surprise I found what I was looking for, one pair of jeans from Banana Republic and one pair from Rock & Republic. Both pairs of jeans were new with the tags still on them and they were marked down substantially. The Banana Republic pair was only $19.49 and the Rock & Republic pair was just $16.49. They were over 80% off their retail prices so I snagged both pairs.
Including shipping and handling my thredUP purchase total was $39.96 and luckily I had enough referral credits to cover the charges. This week’s savings brings my annual savings chart total to $4,709.47. Head over here to check out my Week 1-49 savings chart entries. I encourage you to join me in recording your weekly savings with this free printable savings chart. It is fun to track how much money you can save by making simple, smart money decisions.
By the way, if you want to earn referral credits for ThredUp.com all you need to do is refer your friends to their site and if they make a purchase you get a FREE $10 credit to go shopping! Even sweeter you can send them a FREE $10 credit to use on their purchase! Pretty cool!
