Savings Chart Update Week 43: Melissa & Doug Buy One Get One 50% Off Sale at Toys R Us, Resulting in Good Deals on Birthday Gifts = $5.00 in Savings
This past weekend I noticed that Toys R Us had Melissa & Doug toys on sale for buy one get one 50% off. Knowing that I had some birthday gifts to buy for an upcoming party my son has been invited to, I thought what a great opportunity to snag some fun gifts and save money, so we loaded into the car and headed to Toys R Us.
I quickly realized that this shopping trip was going to be unlike any of our prior trips to Toys R Us. My now 2 year old was enamored with everything and kept declaring “I want!” “Mine mine!” He was having a bit of a difficult time understanding that we were picking out gifts for his little friend and not for him. Luckily for him we were planning on letting him get a little something too since he’s been so well behaved (plus I had a 20% off coupon).
For my son’s friend we picked up two Melissa & Doug puzzles, each priced at $9.99 but we scored 50% off the second one resulting in a $5.00 savings. In case you are curious my son got this Mega Bloks train set since he loves building “castles.”
