This past week I celebrated my birthday and in usual fashion my husband asked what I wanted for my birthday gift. My typical response is “nothing, I don’t need anything.” He suggested a gift certificate to get a massage since my shoulders had been sore from shoveling all the ice and snow we have received while he was out of town. My initial thought was, don’t spend the money. Then I remembered I had received a Happy Birthday email from the sports club we belong to with a voucher attached. I pulled up the email again and noticed one of the voucher options was for a free 30 minute massage ($50 value). Sweet!
My husband upgraded my massage to one hour for an extra $20 to make a pretty awesome birthday gift for me! So this week I will get to enjoy one hour of peace and quiet and relaxation until I return to the craziness that is my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🙂
This week’s savings brings my family’s savings chart total to $3,746.60. Head over here to check out my Week 1-28 savings chart entries.
