Recently I had an optometrist appointment for my annual eye exam and to order new contacts. Once my exam was finished and I was putting on my coat to head home I was reminded that the last time I ordered contact lenses the doctor offered me a mail in rebate form, so I turned around and proceeded to ask the eye doctor if she had any current mail in rebates for my new contacts. After a bit of thinking she recalled she did in fact have a $50 mail in rebate form that I can submit after I order my contacts. Did you say $50? Wow! Obviously I snatched up that form, so once I receive the receipt for my new contacts I’ll certainly be mailing in that rebate.
Here’s a great example of simply being proactive and asking the doctor for an additional way to save money that resulted in real savings. This week’s savings of $50.00 brings my savings chart total to $3,853.69. Head over here to check out my Week 1-33 savings chart entries.
