Savings Chart Update Week 5: Redeemed Recyclebank Points to Receive Dick’s Sporting Goods Coupon = $15 in Savings
Do you have your back to school shopping finished? Since I only have a 17 month old son, my back to school shopping was fairly minimal relative to most parents. However, I did stock up on new fall clothes for my son since he is quickly exceeding the limit in his current duds.
Now that little man is taken care of, the other man in my life needs some attention. I’ve mentioned to my husband several times that he needs new workout clothes, but he always brushes me off saying that his still work just fine. Sure, they “work fine”, but they’re fading, the logos are peeling off, and they have an unattractive permanent scent attached to them. Get my drift? 🙂
Amazingly, last weekend, my husband approached me and said, “I think I could use some new workout shirts.” What?! He finally picked up on my not so subtle hints. Immediately I thought I’ll have to request a Dick’s Sporting Goods coupon from Recyclebank. They often run the promotion for a $15 off coupon on any $75 or more purchase. Even sweeter, this reward has been reduced from 150 points to 75 points, so I only have to use half of the usual points to claim it.
I have since requested the coupon and am waiting for it to arrive; therefore technically I have not saved the $15 as of yet, but believe me, when that coupon arrives in the next week or so, I’ll be happy to sprint to Dick’s Sporting Goods and get my husband his new workout shirts.
By redeeming my Recyclebank points, I am able to save my family $15 which brings my week five savings chart total to $2,452.60.
By the way, if you are wondering, what is Recyclebank, check out this article where I share details about the Recyclebank program.
