Ever since becoming a busy mom on a budget, clothes shopping has lost a lot of its appeal. Seriously, it’s more fuss than fun these days. However, since I can’t wear the same jeans and sweatshirt every single day (that’s not an option, right?) and the little man is growing like a weed, clothes shopping is still on my to-do list. Luckily, Gap makes it more bearable by offering affordable, fashionable options for the whole family.
Yep, whether you’re looking to add a few fall pieces to your wardrobe or get your kiddo ready to head back to the classroom, Gap has got you covered!
I enjoy shopping for clothes at Gap because they’re affordable. Yep, surprise, surprise, I enjoy getting clothes at a good price. 😉 However, affordability is especially important to me when it comes to clothing for my kiddo because a.) he seems to grow an inch a day b.) he never fails to find a way to destroy an outfit. Since I’m not paying an arm and a leg at Gap, I’m a lot less aggravated when the clothing I just cut the price tags off of no longer fits or when he shows up with a mystery stain.
Usually, when clothes are affordable they’re unfashionable, uncomfortable, or don’t withstand their first wash. None of that is true with clothing from Gap. Seriously, if their outfits can stand up to the busy lifestyle of my son, they must be practically indestructible! 🙂
When it comes to my wardrobe, I’m (obviously) concerned about the price tag but I also have to consider comfort and versatility. As a busy mom, I can’t stand clothes that are constricting. In addition, I don’t have time to play Project Runway and try to figure out what matches with what. Luckily, Gap offers plenty of comfy options (see my fall fashion picks below) as well as wardrobe basics that are a breeze to mix and match.
As already mentioned, Gap offers great options for the entire family. Seriously, you’ll find something for everyone in store or online. For example, Gap offers a whole range of pant fit and style options. My husband tends to opt for the slim fit. I prefer a straight leg. My son is a relaxed fit type of person. In fact, Gap pants tend to fit my son better than options from other retailers and he never complains about them being uncomfortable. (Which is really saying something since he’s as picky about his clothing as he is about his vegetables!)
So, what Gap fall fashions are on my shopping list? Here are my top five!
#1 – Button Front Cardigan
Opt for a fall color, like the olive green, to round out your wardrobe. This super soft and versatile cardigan is great for those cool fall days. Plus, it’s super easy to dress up or down!
#2 – Sky High Straight Leg Jeans
These jeans are high waisted with low stretch, which means they may be kind of snug at first but they’ll conform to your shape. They also have a great vintage denim feel.
#3 – Lace Up Sneakers
Gym shoes are all grown up with these cute but comfortable sneakers that pair perfectly with jeans. Seriously, with these you’ll look trendy but still be able to chase after the kiddos!
#4 – Utility Joggers
These pants are a perfect example of how Gap clothing blends fashion and comfort. They’re soft and lightweight, perfect for lounging around the house or running errands. Honestly? I could live in these!
#5 – Patchwork Pullover Sweatshirt
This fun new sweatshirt works perfect with joggers or jeans and is great for hanging around the house, doing yard work, or running around town. What more could a busy mom ask for?
