If you’re like me, you want to have a nice set of pearly white teeth. I personally think it looks better, and I love having a bright, white smile.
But if, like most people, you eat or drink things that will stain your teeth, it can be tough to maintain a white smile. The list of things that stain your teeth is huge!
- Red wine
- Dark juices
- Soy sauce
- Tomato sauce
Blueberries?!?! Seriously. Okay, let’s be real. I am not going to avoid tomato sauce, blueberries, and most of the rest of the list in order to have white teeth. I’ve got a life to live! And it’s just not realistic for me (or most other people, I’m assuming) to avoid lots of different–even healthy–foods just to get white teeth. (I want to look nice, but not if it means I’m going to sacrifice my health, you know?)
If I can’t avoid staining my teeth, that means I have to try other avenues for teeth whitening. In the past, I’ve had my teeth whitened–but unfortunately, it was painful for my teeth and created tooth sensitivity (where I had none before). For me, the pearly white smile was not worth the pain and sensitivity of the treatment. It definitely wasn’t something I wanted to keep doing long-term.
Right now, you might be wondering, Okay, Kelli, you say you’re actively eating foods that stain your teeth AND you don’t have your teeth whitened: how is your smile not totally yellow by now?
Well, I make sure that I take really good care of my teeth (and go to the dentist regularly), and I use a whitening toothpaste daily to battle any food stains from the day.
Recently, I tried the Crest 3D White Whitening Therapy with Charcoal. (You can read my full review here.) I had wanted to try the brushing with activated charcoal trend, but I was put off by the huge mess it would create in my bathroom. (Do I want to spend 20 minutes brushing my teeth and cleaning black stains off of my countertop and nails? No, thanks.) Instead, I tried Crest’s toothpaste formulated with charcoal. In short, I really liked the toothpaste! I felt like my smile was brighter, and the toothpaste was much easier than traditional charcoal brushing: it was just like using regular toothpaste.
After that, I tried the Crest 3D White Whitening Therapy with Coconut Oil. This toothpaste was great–I particularly liked the vanilla mint flavor. My mouth felt fresh and clean for hours after brushing–and, of course, it did a great job of whitening, too!
I recommend both of these toothpastes for two reasons: they whiten and they help you take good care of your oral health. Both the 3D Whitening Therapy with Charcoal and the 3D Whitening Therapy with Coconut Oil do more than just whiten surface stains: they freshen your breath, eliminate plaque, and strengthen your enamel. (Your enamel is what protects your teeth and prevents sensitivity.)
With these toothpastes, I get to have a pearly white smile without any mess, pain, or sensitivity. It’s hands-down the easiest way to get whiter teeth that I know of.
If you want to get your hands on a tube of Crest 3D White Whitening Therapy (Charcoal or Coconut Oil), make sure to head to your local CVS: since March 3, CVS has a special Buy 3, Get $5 ExtraBucks promotion that can be used on the new Crest 3D White Whitening Therapy formulas.
