All opinions are mine alone. #GameDayFavs #CollectiveBias When it comes to game day parties, are you a big sports fan or would you rather ignore the game and focus on the game day food and hanging out with friends and family? Regardless if you are more interested in the smorgasbord of food than the game itself, game day parties are fun for everyone.
I agree that game day food is one of the best parts of the celebration. Do you have go to recipes for game day or do you enjoy experimenting with new food creations? Regardless of what I decide to make for my family on game day, the one requirement I have (other than it has to be incredibly delicious) is that it has to be easy to make. This is where Tyson® and Ball Park can come in to help.
As I was preparing for an upcoming game day party, I knew that I wanted to make something using Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips, so I headed to Meijer to pick up a bag. While I was there I also grabbed a bag of Tyson® Any’tizers Boneless Chicken Wyngz Buffalo Style since I knew they would be perfect for my game day spread. I was pleased to see that there was a variety of different flavor Tyson® Any’tizers to choose from and each is made with all white meat chicken (not low-quality like other warm, frozen snacks).
As you can see, I spotted the Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips right next to the Tyson® Any’tizers Boneless Chicken Wyngz.
I was inspired by the Buffalo Style Tyson® Any’tizers Boneless Chicken Wyngz, so I decided to make Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteaks with the Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips. My husband prefers his food to have a little kick to it, so I knew these Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteaks would be perfect for him, and I love that these delicious sandwiches would take just minutes to whip up. It’s a win-win!
Below I share my recipe for Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteaks using Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips.
Easy (and Delicious) Game Day Food Idea: Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteaks
Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips (25 oz)
Homemade buffalo sauce:
1/2 cup buffalo sauce
1/3 cup melted butter
1 Tablespoon vinegar
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
1. Cook your Tyson® crispy strips on a baking pan as directed on the package
2. While your chicken is cooking, mix together your buffalo sauce, butter, garlic powder, and vinegar
3. Place your buffalo sauce ingredients in a sauce pan and cook for about five minutes on medium heat
4. Take your sauce pan off the heat. Once your chicken is cooked, toss your Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips into your homemade buffalo sauce
5. Place your buffalo coated chicken strips on a cutting board and cut into slices
6. Place your slices of chicken onto your sub buns
7. Lay two or three slices of Swiss cheese onto your sliced boneless buffalo chicken
8. Place your sandwiches back on your baking sheet
9. Cook for another 10 minutes or so just to toast the bun and melt the cheese
10. Use a little ranch or blue cheese for dipping and your sandwiches are now ready to eat!
By the way, I didn’t place all of the Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips into the buffalo sauce, I saved a handful or so for my son to munch on during the game. Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips are one of the few meats my picky toddler will actually consume, and I am content giving them to him since they are made with 100% all natural ingredients and the chicken is raised with no added hormones or steroids.
For your party guests who love indulging in a big juicy burger while watching the game, consider snagging Ball Park Flame Grilled Patties. They are ideal for this time of year when many of us would still like to enjoy the flavor of grilled meat but without breaking out the grill we put away months ago. Ball Park Flame Grilled Patties are a quick and easy way to enjoy your favorite grilled burger taste but without the hassle or mess. That’s right, one minute in the microwave can produce juicy grilled burgers to feed your hungry fans.
